The Nail Files: Winter Review

As spring begins to rear its head throughout many of the other states, the city of Chicago is still looking at a few more months of everlasting winter weather. Might as well take advantage of this intensely cold season and continue to polish those nails with colors in trend. Even a girl like me, who prefers french gel manicures, has retired the fake nails for awhile and turned to this trend.

1. Little Brown Dress by Essie: This is a black coffee, dark dark brown color that is a perfect in-between to a dark brown and a black. ($8.00; Essie.com Not only is the color available online at its website, but you can find it cheaper on Amazon.com as well as half the price at your local Walgreens!)

2. Butter London Tramp Stamp: A bit more on the pricier side, this dark chocolate brown nail polish captures the essence of a warm chocolate truffle. ($15.00; Butter London Also available at Amazon.com)

3. O.P.I Samoan Sand: This nude/peachy polish is a must-have neutral shade for every season and flatters every skin tone.($5.50; Amazon.com)

4. O.P.I Black Onyx: A basic black nail polish that is not only fabulous but is also matte and completely addicting. ($2.50; Amazon.com; THIS PRICE CANNOT BE BEAT)

5. Wicked by Essie: This nail polish is a popular choice because of its deep dark red/brown hue. It is the perfect complement to any girl with a devilish personality. ($8.00; Essie.com; Not only is the color available online at its website, but you can find it cheaper on Amazon.com as well as half the price at your local Walgreens!
